We earlier reported about a screenshot showing a dual socket quad-core Nehalem system. All in all sixteen threads were showing in the Windows Task manager and the CPUs were operating at 2.133GHz. The creator of the screenshot has made another appearance and published more pictures of the Nehalem processor, right next to a Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 and showing off the new elliptic pin contacts. By making the elliptic instead of circular, Intel is able to pack them tighter together.

The new LGA1366 packaging certainly adds to the size the processor, which is just monstrous. This is an A1 stepping processor, and retail is normally C0. Meaning we still have to work our way through B before they reach the market (review samples are often B2-3). Expect more leaks in the future.
