EVGA is known for its extreme motherboards and graphics cards, which makes it extra interesting when the company has shared a first picture of a coming Intel X79 motherboard for LGA2011. We don’t get to see that much of the board that will carry the new Sandy Bridge-E processors, but all pictures of Intel’s enormous processor sockets are welcome.

EVGA has announced that it will not only bring regular X79 motherboards to market, but also at least one model with dual sockets, which should make it the spiritual successor to EVGA Classified SR-2. The picture published at the own forum looks like a regular LGA2011 motherboards with only one socket.

What we see is namely the gigantic processor socket, four DDR3 memory slots, a single PCIe x8 pin power connector, angled 24-pin connector and dedicated buttons for boot and reboot. The board looks to follow the black EVGA theme with a black heatsink crowning some of the capacitors.
