ASUS has presented the latest addition to the Republic of Gamers motherboard family. ASUS Rampage III Formula is close to launch now and will bring support for Intel’s hexa-core Core i7 processors and loads of features like USB 3.0, SATA 6.0 Gbps and wireless overclocking.
The motherboard is based on the Intel X58 chipset with three PCIe x16 slots for 3-way SLI or CrossFireX. ASUS has equipped the motherboard with six memory slots across three memory channels, and speeds up to DDR3-2000. As expected we also find USB 3.0, SATA 6.0 Gbps and high definition SupremeFX X-Fi 2 sound processor.
To overclockers and enthusiasts Rampage III Formula has a fully covering cooling solution with heatpipes, and ROG Connect for overclocking through your mobile phone. The motherboard is expected to appear after the Summer and will be one of the last LGA 1366 motherboards from ASUS before Sandy Bridge-E takes over in the high-end segment.
