Meizu M8 is so far just a rumor and there is no official information regarding the player yet, but the information which has appeared about Meizu’s latest creation is quite delicious. The specifications of the ”device” are quite respectable with a 3.3″ touchscreen With a resolution of 720×480 pixels, Bluetooth, 3Mpixel camera and a ARM11 processor for handling video playback. The device, which seems to be Meizu’s first mobile phone (?), is a bit smaller than Apple iPhone, but there are certain similarities, to put it mildly.
This may very well just be a hoax, but considering Meizu’s previous multimedia players, which borrowed both some aesthetic impressions and functions of Apple’s iPod family, this sounds at least a bit likely. However, if it would turn out to be real, we know at least one company that would be angered.
