LG has confirmed that it will be releasing an Android tablet in Q4 this year. No details were given on the specifications of the devices, but it should mean that other are also getting closer to a launch.

For the hardware we guess something along NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 SoC, which seems to be the number one choice for most system builders and the first generation Android tablets. Just speculation at this point though.

We have seen Google’s own interpretation of Chrome OS on tablets, which is just a hint of what Android for tablets could be.
