Leadtek WinFast PX8500 GT TDH HDMI is the complete name of a seemingly bleak graphics card. NVIDIA’s GeForce 8500 GT graphics circuit is hardly a performance monster, but in this case it’s not the 3D performance that makes it interesting. First of all, Leadtek has decided to equip the card with an HDMI output and make it a better option for HTPCs. To further strengthen the card’s position on the market, Leadtek has chosen to use passive cooling and a low profile PCB, making it even better for small HTPC cases.

The GeForce 8500 GT core works at 450 MHz together with 256MB GDDR2 memory working at 800MHz. With a memory bus at 128-bit it’s no 3D monster, but with support for HDCP and PureVideo HD there is great potential for multimedia PCs. Leadtek WinFast PX8500 GT TDH HDMI is available today and costs about $90.

”In terms of hardware design, its low profile form factor allows setting up for a wide variety of low profile and any small scale entertainment devices. More surprising, its 0dB Noiseless Heatpipe cooling system will take the entertainment center to an ultimate attainment of pleasure without doubt.”
