Cooling developer Scythe has just presented a new CPU cooler called Mine 2, a powerful thing with a cubic desgn. It has a shared aluminum heatsink and eight copper heatpipes for cooling both Intel and AMD processors. The cooler comes with a 140mm Slip Stream fan and weighs over 1.1kg.

Scythe Mine 2 takes over from Mine (1), measures 130 x 143 x 160mm and sports a coppper base for easy uptake of the heat and transfer to the large aluminum heatsink. Between the fins we find a 140mm Slip Stream fan that operates between 740 and 1900 RPM using a manual fan controller.

Scythe Mine 2 weighs 1.16 kg and supports Intel’s LGA775, LGA1155, LGA1156, and LGA1366 platforms, and AMD’s AM2, AM2+, and AM3 platforms. The price is around 50 euro.
