Well known cooling manufacturer Noctua has been looking for new ways to cool our computers and the latest creation is Noctua NH-C14. The sturdy CPU cooler uses an angled tower design where dual 140mm fans will keep both CPU and surrounding components cool.
The nickel-coated copper base transfers the heat through six heatpipes to the large heatsink made from aluminum placed horizontally over the motherboard. With room for one 140mm fan on top and one beneath the cooler should fit even inside narrower cases, and when using only the lower fan the cooler is only 105mm high.
Performance users will want to use both fans and not only increase cooling capacity for the processor but also surrounding components since these will also get a bit of a breeze.
The noise with the bundled fans will be between 10.1 dB(A) and 19.6 dB(A). Noctua NH-C14 comes with six year warranty and with two fans the piece weighs 1 kg, and measures 130 x 140 x 166mm (HxBxD).
Noctua has set a high price, but that includes the mounting kit compatible with all current sockets, including the coming Intel LGA1155.
