Danamics quickly became famous when it introduced its processor cooler LM10 in 2008. With heatpipe technology using liquid metal Danamics had something unique coming and the technology showed great potential from the start, but had a great Achilles heal, the price.
Danamics LMX Superleggera was the last model to reach stores and even if performance was superior and the price had been lowered the production costs were still too high.
Danamics LMX Superleggera costed around 120€ and was simply too expensive, even if performance was really good. Exactly what happened to Danamics is unclear, but the company website has been removed and according to octeamdenmark.com the company has been liquidated.
Whether we will see Danamics or NaK in compuer cooling again we don’t know, but we feel it is a shame that such an innovative company leaves us. Another proof of the fierce competition we have today among component makers.
