Cooling manufacturer Asetek continues to find new products to cool with water and after demonstrating a water-cooled all-in-one PC it has ventured for Apple’s Mac Pro. It has cooled two overclocked Xeon processors to show the advantages of water cooling.

Each processor is equipped with a water block that were connected to a 240mm radiator with two silent 120mm fans. By overclocking the processors from 2.8 GHz to 3.16 GHz the system keeps the same performance temperatures as the more expensive 3.2 GHz Mac Pro, but at half the level of noise 37.5 dB vs. 50 dB. Another proof of the superior heat properties of water even with more advanced systems.
