Killer NIC has been appearing in the news more often than not lately and considering what Bigfoot Networks has claimed it’s not really that surprising. The card will not only offer lower ping but also a generally improved performance. Preliminary tests from IGN actually seemed to prove this as well. Even if it wasn’t the deepest and most scientific tests we’ve seen it was still a considerable difference. DailyTech now reports that the card is available in stores, namely at Newegg and that it doesn’t cost quite as much as first anticipated, even if it still far from cheap: $280.
