iRiver S10 is the latest addition to the market of the minimalistic MP3 players and iRiver has done really well to keep the measurements at a minimum as S10 measures only 42 x 30 x 10.8mm. Apple is still the king of the hill with its iPod Shuffle at 41.5 x 27.3 x 10.5mm, but the difference is almost neglible. Especially if you compare the specifications of iRiver S10 and Apple iPod Shuffle. First of all S10 comes with an OLED display and it is actually quite a large such at 1.15″. To be able to handle the player and the material on it iRiver has developed a system called D-Click, which we unfortunately did not receive any detailedd information about, but according to the manufacturer it will be a very easy interface to use.
Despite its size and mere weight of 17.5 gram it has been able to fit a flash memory at 2GB, FM-Radio and a battery time of 10 hours inside. As usual there is support for most sound formats, such as MP3, OGG and WMA. You can even display pictures on the player even if the display is relatively large it not really large enough for such use. iRiver S10 will cost about $175 and is expected to arrive at the end of October.
