Intel G965 is one of the chipsets that will be launched with Intel’s new microprocessor architecture during Q3 2006. As the G in the name implies it is a chipset with an integrated graphics circuit, not a fact that many would react to ordinarily. The performance with Intel’s integrated graphics circuits has always been anything but impressive through the years and even if G965 will make no difference there it seems Intel has still done some extra work with the new graphics circuit. Or what do you say about support for Shader Model 3.0, hardware accelerated WMV9b HD encoding and HDMI output. A big step forward for Intel’s integrated graphics circuits, but we hope that it has also added some extra performance.
