Intel will replace the current 65nm lineup with a new set of 45nm processors this month. The new series is called Core 2 Duo E8000 and contains three models, E8500 (3.16GHz), E8400 (3GHz) and E8200 (2.66GHz). Additional models will arrive in Q2/Q3. The first three are already on sale in Japan. The prices are 36.800 YEN (346 USD) for E8500, 26.800 YEN (252 USD) for E8400 and 24.800 YEN (233 USD) for E8200. ascii.jp has published pictures of both boxes and IHS of all processors.
