Windows Vista will for most users be easiest recognized by its new graphic interface. Aero Glass is the name of one of the themes that will become Microsoft’s first 3D-accelerated user interface. It comes with many positive aspects for many, but at the same time Aero Glass is relatively demanding for less capable graphics renderers. The most discrete videocards will probably handle Aero Glass just fine, but the integrated video-chipsets on mainboards will have a tougher time. In an article at eWeek they’ve brought up the problems with the hardware requirements for Windows Vista where they focus on the graphics-renderer’s that will handle the new interface.
