Inphi is a company that specializes in components for fast internal communications and this include memory components. The company has now presented its new registered memory buffer INSSTE32882, which is a part of its ExacTik series. This is not a memory circuit per se but a CMOS timing device. These are used for memory clocking, among other, and the new circuit supports the current DDR3-800, DDR3-1066, DDR3-1333 standards, and the suggested DDR3-1600 standard. The new circuit lives up to JEDEC requirements and this will make it easier for memory manufacturers to develop and launch DDR3 modules, and at the same time speed up the DDR3 transition.
