Infinium labs and Phantom are hardly common among the news. This is pretty much because this game console has been under development for as long as anyone can remember. The basic thought is that it is suppose to be a home entertaining unit unlike other game consoles as it is based on strict PC hardware (Athlon XP 2500+, GF FX5700 Ultra, 256MB RAM) and play PC games. The difference is that it comes with a well adjusted interface, based on Windows XP, which lets you sit at home and download the games you want through an online service or play the games directly through the console.

To improve the general impression that this is a machine for home entertainment, not just another game console, they’ve decided to change their name to Phantom Entertainment. Infinium labs has considerably bigger problems than the name though, if that even was a problem, with lawsuits because of unpaid wages and, of course, a game console that will be under development for ever.
