Microsoft recently stated that it is about to solve the poor availability with Xbox 360 within a few weeks and now it has now also named a scapegoat. It’s the memory manufacturer Infineon that gets to take the blaim, or the inability to deliver enough 512MB GDDR3 memory chips that Xbox 360 use for its graphic circuit. Infineon is just one out of two memory manufacturers (Samsung is the other) that supplies Xbox 360 with these circuits, but this is supposedly the reason for Microsoft’s ”lack of components” we’ve heard so much about. Neither Microsoft nor Infineon has chosen to comment this information, but as things are apparently improving it is understandable.
