The new graphics cards with 28nm GPUs are still not here, and it looks like it will take some time before we see them. That doesn’t mean that the current graphics card are no fun, and Chinese overclocker X800pro has shown that by breaking the world record with GTX 560 Ti.

The record was broken during a Zotac competition, Zotac 2011 Extreme Overclocking Contest in Guangzhou, Kina. Overclocker X800pro used a Gigabyte X58A-OC, Intel Core i7-990X and liquid nitrogen to do so.

After getting the processor stable at 5.828 GHz through 3DMark Vantage he started tweaking the graphics card, Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti. The final result was P35310 in 3DMark Vantage with record frequencies 1670/3340 MHz at Core/Shader. The memory was marginally overclocked from 1250 MHz to 1333 MHz. The result is still impressive for this generation of graphics card.
