In Q4 AMD will launch its new generation of DirectX 11 graphics cards, but sales are still strong. According to fresh surveys the sales of graphics cards at tier 1 manufacturers have increased by 10% since Q2.

According to analyst Michael McConnel from Pacific Crest even NVIDIA has managed to stick to its expected revenue increase of 3-5% since the second quarter when summarizing the numbers for Q3.

Considering what we have coming in Q4 the graphics card market will most likely grow even more before the end of the year. NVIDIA is not expected to make any greater changes to its assortment, but AMD will launch at least two new graphics card series where the mid-range segment will be updated next month with the GPU Barts. Something we will return to later.
