The motherboard manufacturers have been allowed to show off its AM3+ motherboard sporting the new 900 chipsets from AMD, and Gigabyte isn’t waiting a second longer than necessary. It has listed four motherboards with 990FX and one sporting the cheaper 990X chip.

Many of the new AM3+ motherboards for AMD’s Bulldozer architecture have already been shown, but Gigabyte is the first to list its motherboards officially. The models are called GA-990XA-UD3, GA-990FXA-D3, GA-990FXA-UD3, GA-990FXA-UD5, GA-990FXA-UD7 and we know since earlier these will cost between $120 and $200, while GA-990FXA-D3 an dGA-990XA-UD3 is expected to be cheaper.

All models brings the support that is promised with AMD’s latest chipsets and the only thing missing is the coupled processor. Several sources implies that the new architecture from AMD will be delayed and if so it may be hard for motherboard partners to market their products, without an actual processor to go with them.
