Gigabyte GA-MA790-DQ6 is the first RD790-based motherboard to be tested. The board has four physical PCIe x16 slots, where you can use either two slots in x16 mode, or four slots with x8 bandwidth. RD790 also brings support for PCI-Express 2.0. The board has solid state capacitors and a 8 phase power design. The chipset sports 41 PCIe lanes, and a new, and in our opinion healthy focus on several newer features; completely passive cooling, four eSATA ports, two physical BIOSes and two virtual ones (with backups on the harddrive and CD), and of course support for the coming Phenom processors from AMD.

Over at OCWorkbench they’ve taken a quick look at the Gigabyte GA-MA790-DQ6, with close-ups of the board and some shots of the BIOS. The GA-MA790-DQ6 seems to be following the good example of the previous DQ6 boards with a balanced BIOS and an impressive list of features.
