Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI Quad Royal is a motherboard that really stands out with its four PCIe x16 video card slots. It is the only ATX board on the market that lets a user install up to 5 seperate video cards, 4 with the PCIe x16 interface. Even if the name implies that you will be able to connect four PCIe video for a Quad SLI configuration you can not, first of all there is no support for this with NVIDIA’s drivers. Quad SLI requires two dual-SLI cards as well, which is only available with the GeForce 7900 series so far. However up to 5 video cards at the same time will give you access to 10 (!) separate monitors, which will give your a really unique possibility for those who require a lot of space.

At HotHardware they’ve tested Gigabyte’s monster board that is really crammed with features and interesting solutions. Perhaps not the optimal choice for a gamer or overclocker. But the grade is high and Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI Quad Royal has a really unique function that some might find very useful.
