Armed with dual GF110 GPUs GeForce GTX 590 will soon go up against Radeon HD 6990 and with a launch around the corner more and more information appears on the web. The latest is a detailed slide revealed details on the circuit board and cooler.

If the picture published at Beyond3D is genuine GeForce GTX 590 will sport dual GF110 GPUs with 512 CUDA cores, which we already knew though.

To make sure the 1024 CUDA cores have fuel NVIDIA uses a 12 layer PCB with extra copper and a 10 phase power supply, dedicated to both GPUs. The 3GB GDDR5 memory shares the space on the PCB with a PCIe x16 bridge chip and dual 8-pin power connectors.

According to our sources the card will operate at 600 MHz GPU frequency and to keep all these 3 billion transistors cool NVIDIA has developed a new reference cooler that is quite similar to Radeon HD 6990. Dual fans with vaporation technology and copper base can be found inside and between both heatsinks sits a larger fan that circulates the air in the card.

GeForce GTX 590 is slated to appear on March 22nd and the goal is set to conquer the market.
