The economical hardship of the world is harder on component manufacturers than many others and after false rumors of VisionTek and PNY leaving graphics it looks like there are others who are leaving us. DigiTimes writes that graphics card maker GeCube has sold its graphics card operation and continue to work with non-graphics related stuff, with a new partner. GeCube hasn’t revealed anything else at this time, but the information is strengthened by the fact that Gigabyte, who previously held 61.5% of the stock, has sold all stocks and left the company.

The information hasn’t been confirmed by Gigabyte or GeCube, but perhaps the company will keep working with its multimedia products, which is a bit pale though.
