Earlier on, we have reported about AGP-users all over the world begging for supplies of ATI’s X1000-family from Diamond Multimedia, which unfortunately turned out to be a spelling mistake on their homepage. Now however, GeCube has announced that they will release AGP-versions of this particular videocard family. Sadly, the subject is not X1800 as in Diamond’s case, but the X1300 and X1600. This means that we will see AVIVO in systems with AGP, something that many probably will appreciate with the performance of the technology in mind, especially as many HTPC-systems utilizes the older technology of the AGP-port. Any exact date is not set yet, but the beginning of 2006 should not be that far off.
