Gainward has launched a new model of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 that brings a new custom cooler, GTX 570 Phantom. Gainward has thanks to the cocky new cooler been able to tweak the specifications, where both GPU and memory circuits are not working faster than average.

Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Phantom has a cooler consisting of six nickel-coated heatpipes and three temperature controlled fans for keeping the GF110 GPU cool and happy. The fans are covered by a mesh for a more mysterious impression. The con of lower temperatures and less noise is that the card now occupies three expansion slots.

As it should GTX 570 Phantom comes with 480 CUDA cores and 320-bit memory bus. In this case it has turned up the GPU clock to 750 MHz while the memory circuits operate at 3 900 MHz, a bit higher than the reference of 732/3800 MHz.

The card sports dual DVI outputs, HDMI and DisplayPort. The card will be available shortly. At OCAU.com they took a closer look at the card and managed to overclock it to 900/4500 MHz.
