G.Skill is anything but afraid of pushing the memory clock frequencies of Intel’s new Core i7 platform to seemingly unhealthy levels. It has now announced a new triple-channel memory series called Perfect Storm that will offer optimal performance with Core i7 processors and X58 motherboards. The memory modules are specified to 2000MHz with 7-8-7 timings, clock frequencies that few other memories can do within safe voltage margins. G.Skill doesn’t say what voltage is required to operate at 2000MHz, but we would guess around 1.65V in this case.
