Fujitsu has now announced that it has launched the world’s first 2.5″ harddrive with a 300GB storage capacity. This is without a doubt a milestone on the laptop market and as usual the progress is thanks to the perpendicular recording technology. Fujitsu MHX2300BT will be available in stores at the end of February, 2007, sporting the SATA interface and a 4200RPM. The price has not been announced yet, but this is a quite impressive capacity you to fit inside a laptop, but Fujitsu says that it is going for the Media Center market, where the formfactor and low level of noise, 20dB, should be highly appreciated.
