Arc is the latest case to be released by Fractal Design and as it should it is an affordable alternative. Arc is a bit smaller than the popular Define R3, but offers similar functionality with plenty of space for harddrive and fans.

Fractal Design Arc measures 230x460x515mm (BxHxD) and weighs 10kg. The case houses motherboards of Mini ITX, Micro ATX and ATX format and a total of 8 expansion slots. Even though it’s relatively small it has room for up to eight 3.5″ harddrives and the rubber supported sleds are compatible with 2.5″ units.

Two 5.25″ units can be seen on the front that has an aluminum-like design with a large mesh net in the middle. Behind the net you find two 140mm fans that are completed by a number of large fans located around the case. There is room for up to eight fans at 120/140mm or 180mm. There is also room for a 240mm radiator in the roof with up to 60mm thickness.

Fractal Design Arc has a lot in common with Define R3. Some of the differences is the lack of a door, and that Arc is not silenced from factory. With that said we’re hoping to see a very competitive price, but nothing has been revealed.
