EVGA has launched another factory overclocked version of GeForce GTX 460 with the suffix FTW to go up against PoV/TGT The BEAST with an impressive GPU clock frequency of 850 MHz. Just like the copetition EVGA has made sure to turn up the clocks on the GDDR5 memory.

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 FTW ships from factory with 850/1700/4000 MHz (GPU/CUDA cores/GDDR5 memory), which you can compare to the reference 675/1350/3600 MHz. To reach these high clock frequencies EVGA has given the card an extra MOSFET cooler and sells the card in two different suits with different coolers.

Both cards have 336 CUDA cores and 1GB GDDR5 memory, but GTX 460 FTW EE (External Exhaust) has a design and a cooler that has it easier to push the hot air out of the case, which is quite important with a hot card like this.

The price is well above the reference cards, but the higher clock frequencies will result in up to 30% better performance according to EVGA.
