EVGA GeForce 7950GX2 Black Pearl could become the fastest graphics card on the market as graphics card manufacturer EVGA has revealed that it will soon launch a GeForce 7950GX2-based graphics card with water cooling. GeForce 7950GX2 is already the fastest card around (the card carries two high-end graphics circuits) but with the help of water cooling it will perhaps be possible for EVGA to bring home the title: The world’s fastest retail graphics card. 7950GX2 uses two graphcis circuits connected through an internal SLI configuration and this results in a very good performance, but also a high heat dissipation, which gets tough to tackle with just air as there is limitied space available.

A water cooling kit would lower the temperatures of the graphics circuits and the noise of the card. But EVGA seems to be focusing on the lower temperatures that will make it possible to push the card to even higher frequencies for optimal performance. EVGA has earlier launched graphics cards with water cooling pre-installed through its Black Pearl series and the price of this will also be something out of the ordinary. EVGA GeForce 7950GX2 Black Pearl may cost up to $1,000 when it finally arrives.
