Eurocom has updated its component configurator for notebooks and revealed a new graphics option. The card is called GeForce GTX 480M and is a mobile version of NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce GTX 480, which is a really terrifying thought considering how much power the desktop card consumes.

According to Eurocom’s specification power consumption has been heavily reduced to work in mobile environments, but 100W is still staggering for a mobile graphics circuit. This is 33% higher than the former top model  GeForce GTX 285M, 75W. The new flagship will set you back $300 more than the last model.

The information hasn’t been confirmed by NVIDIA, but according to Eurocom the circuit should appear in computers in June. For around $200 you can get an extra 12 cell battery, which you are going to need if you decide to go with GeForce GTX 480M.
