Dual processors or dual cores is a very interesting debate today as dual-core processors are becoming quite common. That a processor with dual cores is considerably more affordable when looking for more parallel power is hardly a surprise, but how does a dual processor system compare against a dual-core processor? This is what they wanted to find out at Puget Systems where they’ve published a comparison between these two systems. They’ve reviewed systems based on both AMD’s and Intel’s platforms and the results seem to show that dual-core is the winner here, especially in AMD’s case where you can really see what an efficient dual-core architecture can do.
