Dolby has revealed a new technology which makes it possible to eliminate the annoying and disturbingly high volume in TV commercials. It has namely developed a technology for normalizing the volume during the time you watch TV. The technology will do so without affecting the audio signal, I.e. the quality of the audio that goes in and goes then goes out is the same. By setting a comfortable volume, a single time, the volume will be balanced according to that single setting. Quiet shows will be raised while loud commercials Will be lowered. The technology will be passed on to chip manufacturers this quarter and be implemented in the coming flat screen TVs.
