LaCie is best known for its storage solutions, but it also makes monitors and not just any monitors. LaCie 324i is a 24″ LCD that comes with a P-IPS panel with 10-bit color depth covering 102% of the NTSC spectrum and 98% of AdobeRGB.
LaCie 324i is no ordinary retail monitor and the Professional IPS panel technology appeared earlier this year and as the name says it is for the pros. LaCie builds the 24″ display on a 16:10 panel with 1920×1200 pixel resolution and a static contrast ratio of 1,000:1. LaCie specifies a response time at 6ms (GtG), 178°H / 178° W viewing angles and 400 cd/m2. brightness.
The monitor can show up to 1.073 billion colors thanks to the 10-bit panel and connects to graphics cards or alike through DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI or component. The monitor also has analog inputs and outputs, but no speakers.
It has a foot that turns and pivots, and professional calibration for the really demanding users.
