Cowon Q5 is a so called Portable Media Player that brings more than just music playback, but also other digital media like film and pictures. Most MP3 player manufacturers are transitioning more and more toward the PMP market one way or another and Cowon is no exception. Its new Q5 player has now been officially launched and it’s clearly seen that Cowon hasn’t held back. Cowon Q5 comes with a 5″ touchscreen supporting both pens and finger navigation. Under the hood we have a harddrive with up to 60GB capacity, WiFi support, FM radio, USB support, navigation function (optional), e-dictionary and, of course, support for more or less all video and audio formats you can think of.
Cowon Q5 will despite its large share of features have a battery time at up to 13 hours when listening to music and 7 hours when watching video. Cowon will launch the player with 40GB and 60GB capacity. The price of each model will be €434 and €473 respectively. We’re eager to see how the Cowon Q5 performance as it seems to be an extraordinary addition to the PMP market.
