Corsair has launched a new series of power supplies called Builder, designed to break into the crammed budget market. The units builds on a single 12V rail and up to 80% efficiency. The top model outputs up to 600 watt.
Corsair Builder consists of three different models; CX430, CX500 and CX600. The three power supplies have the same output effect as the name claimes, and comes with a temperature controlled ultra-silent 120mm fan. The Builder series is ATX12V V2.3 compatible and lacks modular cables.
The Builder Series CX430, CX500 and CX600 power supplies have been designed to provide continuous, reliable power output, and worry-free compatibility with your home or office PC. They are the ideal choice for PC builders and upgraders who need an affordable, quiet, and energy efficient PSU for mainstream performance, single GPU systems.
Overvoltage and overcurrent protection will protect your system at surges. They are not intended for systems with multiple graphics cards or even all too powerful components, but this is also reflected in the price tags.
