Corsair Dominator GT has appeared in a new suit and this time the focus is on both performance and efficiency. Corsair launches the new memory modules at 2133 MHz at only 1.5V. The kit is a limited edition consisting of two 4GB modules and Corsair’s AirFlow 2 GTL fan.
Corsair CMT8GX3M2A2133C9 is the name of the kit that according to Corsair will be perfect for overclocking where the low original voltage, high frequency and DHX+ heatsinks and dedicated fan will help.
The new hand-assembled Dominator GT memory kit is the product of a multi-stage component screening process in which individual memory ICs are screened before assembly onto the PCBs, which then undergo additional rigorous testing to ensure reliable performance. Qualification is performed on Intel P67 and P55 motherboards, using the same rigorous test cycle applied to the rest of Corsair’s memory product lines. As with all Corsair memory products, Dominator GT is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
The timings are set to 9-11-9 at the specified clock of 2133 MHz, while the price is a bit high at almost $500.
