Core Duo at 3.84GHz results in 15sek SuperPi 1M

Intel Core Duo has become quite a favorite among overclockers and enthusiasts, especially through the processor’s strength in SuperPi. Now yet another border has been improved with Intel’s mobile processor, the overclocker Tyrou has namely been able to achieve a 15 second result with a SuperPi 1M test. By overclocking his Core Duo processor from 2.16GHz to a whopping 3.84GHz with a three-stage compressor cascade stable down to -100°C. The motherboard used was an AOpen i975X-YDGa paired with Corsair’s 5400UL DDR2 memory. This is the first PC that has been able to get beneath 16 sekunder with SuperPi 1M and except from mighty impressive SuperPi performance Tyrou has also published some 3Dmark benchmarks, alas the video cards limits the number of records.
