Commodore and especially its C64 has offered many entertaining evening, that often became long nights for your’s truly and most likely many of you readers. Sadly, the company went under many years ago and since then name has only been uttered in enthusiast circuits and similar fanboy discussions. Well now the company has more or less resurrected like the Phoenix bird and will launch three new products that will bring back the name and logo that once was seen on the sturdy home computers.
Alas, we’re not talking about any home computers of the same kind, barely even computers to be honest.
– MediaBox, anmultimedia unit able to playback video, music, TV etc.
– Navigator is a handheld GPS unit with harddrive, which also acts as a multimedia player
– Multimedia Tower is a machine designed for stores which wants customers to be able to download various things to theur portable media devices.
It might be worth mentioning that the brand Commodore was purchased by and is now a subdivision to Yeahronimo Ventures which sells media players and digital music.
So if you see the classic Commodore logo remember the good days, because you will run into it, and alas there will be no more home computers like the ones we remember.
