Cell’s specifications soon?

Jim Kahle from Cell’s development team has announced that they will present ca 200 new instructions that Cell uses within the near future. First of all they will, according to eeTimes, reveal the specifications to several open source companies. ”Our plan is to open-source the software for Cell and productizes different parts as we go along,” says Jim Kahle. Hopefully we will see the specifications at the end of May. Unfortunately it seems that Cell is a bit to power consuming to be used in portable devices.
