We earlier reported that American Microcenter had confirmed the rumor that Bulldozer will launch 12th October. Fudzilla has posted additional information that reveal the exact time, when reviews worldwide will appear.

The launch of Bulldozer is now only 8 days away, and to be more precise 1800, Wednesday 12th October. What this time means is that reviews will start popping all over the web after that.

The processors that will be avaialble at launch will be two octo-core, and one hexa-core. The other models that have appeared in rumors now and then, will appear at a later time.

The new Turbo Core 2.0 will work so that it can go up to the highest value, when at most half the cores are active. The second Turbo mode can happen when all cores are active, and if there is space for the for the processor to use it without breaking the TDP. FX-8120 will come in a suit with only 95W TDP, but when it will appear is unknown. All models sport unlocked multiplier, which will ease when overclocking.

According to Fudzilla there will be a refresh of the FX series in Q1 2012. There will be several models that will get a lift in frequency. Among them, FX-4170 will come, with 4 cores, 12 MB cache and 4.2 GHz with shy Turbo at 4.3 GHz and 125W TDP. Considering the low Turbon mode it is likely AMD doesn’t want, or can, push it more without raising the TDP.

We know almost as much as there is worth to know about the new architecture and the FX series without having seen any benchmarks. Eight days from now, Wednesday October 12th, most question marks should be straightened out.
