BSOD is one of the computer world’s best known abbreviations; Blue Screen Of Death, and it’s name for the not so pleasant image Windows operating systems greet their users with when something goes wrong with the system. Microsoft has been humored for its BSOD events during press events and you’ve probably seen photos of computer terminals displaying a BSOD. The term has become a cultural classic and Microsoft seems to have realized this, which could be the reason for that it now offers all users to ”enjoy” the sight of Blue Screen Of Death.
It has namely developed a BSOD screen saver, which is simply called BlueScreen Screen Saver. So now all of you who’ve never had any real problems can enjoy the same thing as everyone else. The screen saver can be downloaded from Microsoft’s website.
”Bluescreen cycles between different Blue Screens and simulated boots every 15 seconds or so. Virtually all the information shown on Bluescreen’s BSOD and system start screen is obtained from your system configuration – its accuracy will fool even advanced NT developers. For example, the NT build number, processor revision, loaded drivers and addresses, disk drive characteristics, and memory size are all taken from the system Bluescreen is running on.”
