AVIVO is ATi’s reply to nVidia’s Pure Video and both technologies are available with each manufacturers’ graphic cards and will among others help your computer with all kind of video signals. One of the most important features with these two technologies are that they support advanced de-interlacing. The support for this something both ATi and nVidia has been bragging about and the question is which one of is actually the best. Anandtech and Beyond3D has both published articles about AVIVO and Pure Video where a lot of the focus is on the different de-interlacing technologies.
