ATP Electronics offers a wide selection of industrial Solid State solutions and it has now presented another solution that may not be for retail, but should interest consumers. ATP has designed an internal SSD that connects directly to the USB pins of the motherboard, and measuring only 28.2 x 15.3 x 6.2 mm it is without a doubt one of the smallest SSD we’ve encountered.

The drive can store up to 4GB and use SLC NAND flash memory cells. This enables the drive to achieve speeds up to 30MB/s.

ATP uses System In Package technology to make the SSDs, which protects all exposed components and makes it resistant to water, dirt, electric discharges and vibrations.

ATP hasn’t released any information on the price, but we expect it to be rather high per GB, mainly since the formfactor is the seller here not the capacity.
