X1800XT has been around for a short period for time and even though it isn’t the fastest card on the market the supply is very good and the price tag is much more attractive than the current king of the hill, GeForce 7800 GTX 512. Since NVIDIA has failed in supplying enough units of GeForce 7800 GTX 512 ATI has been selling loads of its high end card cards. And to top it all off it is now starting to ship cards that are overlocked from stock, which still won’t be enough to get past NVIDIA’s beast, but it will get you closer. So while NVIDIA has the fastest card around they don’t have any actual cards to sell and ATI is probably for the first (?) time not all that worried to be second, especially considering the up and coming release of its next circuit R580.
