ATI RD600 is ATI’s next performance chipset for Intel’s socket 775 platform. Rumors have been going back and forth all the time whether we will see this circuit or not. First we heard reports that motherboard manufacturers started to move focus away from this and instead going for a AMD-ATI platform, but then it was thought it was because of AMD’s acquisition of ATI, but now it seems that ATI will make sure the chipset is just as good as it was ever possible, but that motherboard manufacturers choose not to go for it so they don’t clash with Intel. What will actually happen remains to be seen, but we’re all hoping to see more and better motherboard for Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors.
