It seems like ATi will try to boost the performance of their graphics cards just prior to their release by ”unlocking” more pipelines. This is atleast what Xbitlabs claims. It seems like ATi underestimated nVidia and now they try to repent by doing this. ATi has chosen not to comment the story, meaning that we can’t really be sure of this.
