Socket 754 is at the moment AMD’s budget-platform, and the processors mainly pushed by AMD within the platform is Sempron. But there’s also a range of Athlon 64-CPU’s for the platform, and of course there should be; it was the platform the A64 was originally based upon. However, Digit-Life has published a comparison between the CPU’s available for the Socket 754, which might be an interesting platform for the budget-minded. Another interesting comparison is the PR-rating by AMD, as three of the processors work at different speeds, but they have just as different PR-ratings.
